This first full week of February is set to be the highest grossing week we’ve had at Escala; over $11 million in sales are currently pending.
Included in this figure is the sale of our north-facing Penthouse on the thirty-first floor. The 5100sf of shell space and additional 1000sf of terrace will close Mid-March as the highest priced condominium home sold in the past three years in Seattle.
In addition, the north commercial space, located on the corner of 4th and Virginia, has been purchased by an exclusive European furniture boutique and design studio relocating from its Western Avenue storefront (name to be released next month). It’s exciting to be selected as the retailer’s permanent home. They are a welcome addition to our community.
We are currently over 85% sold! Only 40 homes and one commercial space remain available.

As 2012 comes to a close, there’s plenty of retrospection here at Escala. Many milestones were reached and a lot of new buyers made Escala their home. The year started with 145 total sales and is ending with 228 – we’re now over 85% Sold!
Besides strong sales success we experienced an overwhelming amount of national media attention due to a racy, eyebrow-raising novel series. We were extremely flattered and enjoyed our time in the limelight.
We hope 2012 has brought you much joy and happiness.
Have a wonderful holiday season!

You may have heard the buzz around town that Escala is the setting for a new racy book series. Molly Shen, from KOMO News, toured the building last week and spoke with some of the readers and fans.
What we’re most excited about here at Escala is the front page story in The Seattle Times this week. If you didn’t see it you can read it here. The article discusses the lack of downtown condo inventory and how some projects are raising prices. It’s true at Escala – over 70% of our homes are sold and prices are starting to increase on available inventory.
As reported in the article, we are getting 99% of asking price. That’s great news for those homeowners who purchased early and a barometer for those looking to purchase now. Escala is a beautiful building in the heart of downtown Seattle. There’s nothing else like it!
